The one next to you

I want to be the one next to you at 4.36am when I wake up in your arms as you whisper "sh go back to sleep". You would kiss my soft lips and you would hold me tighter. You would keep me safe and warm. And as I drift off to sleep, I close my eyes and smile, because you're all I ever want and need.
